On festival weekends the whole city turns toward the river at 8pm. The difference between watching from a crowd and watching from a table with grilled prawns is booking early — very early.
What to eat
Fresh seafood by the kilo on the Phạm Văn Đồng row before the show, mì quảng for lunch, bánh xèo after midnight when the crowds thin. Rooftop bars along the Han pour through the finale.

River-view and rooftop tables for fireworks nights sell out 4-8 weeks ahead and carry minimum spends — book when the schedule drops in spring. Non-view restaurants stay easy; eat early, then walk to the banks. Hotels on fireworks weekends price like New Year's Eve.
