How this guide works
Most restaurant lists are one person's opinion, one platform's algorithm, or one advertiser's budget. This site is none of those. It's a cross-examination.
The three sources
The Crowd — Google. Ratings and review counts scraped from Google Maps across Da Nang, dong price bands included. Residents and regulars — the best measure of everyday consistency.
The Travelers — TripAdvisor. The city's ranked list filtered to 4.5★ and up, plus the Travelers' Choice award winners. Visitors judge the whole experience.
The Inspectors — MICHELIN. The Da Nang selection of the MICHELIN Guide Vietnam (2024 debut, 2025 additions): La Maison 1888's One Star, Nén's first-ever Vietnamese Green Star, 20 Bib Gourmands and the documented Selected venues. The guide lists a few further Selected spots; we add them as we verify.
The visuals
Every image on this site is original and generated from the data itself: each restaurant's flavor banner derives its colours from its cuisine and its name, every scorecard image is drawn by our build pipeline, and the Dragon Bridge scene is our own illustration. Nothing is stock, nothing is scraped from other sites, and every page ships art you won't find anywhere else on the web.
Matching & badges
We track 222 records across the three sources, matched by normalised name (Vietnamese diacritics handled, generic names never auto-match, and branch-specific awards stay with the right branch). Badges: Triple Crown (all three lists), Double-Checked, MICHELIN Star / Green Star / Bib Gourmand / Selected, Travelers' Choice, Crowd Favorite (4.5★+, 1,000+ reviews), Hidden Gem and Dong Hero (4.5★+ under ₫150K). Order within sections comes from a Bayesian blend of ratings weighted by review volume — never from payment.
What we will never do
Sell placement. Rank with a secret formula. Trash a restaurant — every place here already cleared a high bar, and Da Nang's food scene deserves cheerleaders, not hit pieces. If a restaurant is listed, someone genuinely loves eating there.
How the site pays for itself
Some “reviews & booking” links are affiliate links (TripAdvisor). If you book through one we may earn a small commission at no cost to you. Affiliates never affect who is listed, what badges they earn, or the order they appear in — the data decides.
Freshness & corrections
Snapshot captured August 2026; refreshed on a rolling basis. Ratings move daily and Da Nang hours change often — beach-season crowds shift everything. Spot an error or run a restaurant we've mislabelled? Email [email protected] and we'll fix it.
